Meet amaya

Hi! I’m Amaya Vincent, an Ottawa-based sports photographer who specializes in capturing the energy and emotion of every game. Whether it’s the excitement of a big win or the tough moments of a loss, I love freezing those real, powerful feelings in my photos and creating fun, engaging shots that bring each moment back to life.

My passion for sports photography began in high school and continued to grow as I refined my skills through my time at Algonquin College. Over the years, I’ve photographed a wide range of sports, including volleyball, soccer, basketball, and hockey, and have worked with organizations such as the University of Ottawa, Algonquin College, and Peak Centre Academy, among others.

Currently, I’m completing a diploma in Photography and Content Creation at Algonquin College, where I learn from industry professionals and continue developing strong technical and creative skills. At the core of my work is a genuine love for sports and a desire to tell meaningful stories through action, emotion, and the talent of every athlete I photograph.
